PHOENIX – Equality Health Foundation is excited to return to the community with the 2023 Annual Healthy Fall Festival and 1,000 Turkey Giveaway events hosted in Kingsport, Tennessee, Phoenix, Arizona, and Houston, Texas.
PHOENIX, AZ – Equality Health Foundation, in partnership with Mercy Care, UnitedHealthcare, Aetna, Arizona Department of Health Services, and community partners distributed over 3,600 backpacks, school supplies and health and well-being resources to students in advance of the new school year. Pediatric primary care practices in Arizona and Texas participated in the drive, helping to prepare students for a healthy and prosperous academic year.
UVALDE, TX – Community Health Development, Inc. is hosting its 2nd annual health festival in partnership with Equality Health Foundation on Saturday, July 8, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Christmas in July festival will take place at Uvalde County Fairplex, located at 215 Veterans Lane, Uvalde, TX 78801.
PHOENIX, Ariz. – Equality Health Foundation and Equality Health LLC helped raise $100,000 at this year’s annual Black & White Ball hosted by the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (AZHCC) to support graduate level scholarships for Hispanic students pursuing advanced degrees in healthcare. The Tony & Milena Astorga EXITO Scholarship Fund provides a one-time scholarship in the amount of $10,000 to those awarded to assist them in their pursuit of continued healthcare education. The scholarship will be administered through the Arizona Community Foundation with mentoring and coaching support by Education Forward Arizona.
HOUSTON – Equality Health Foundation is expanding its reach of health and well-being services and support to a variety of diverse, underserved communities in Arizona, Texas, and Tennessee. The foundation aims to level the healthcare playing field for the state’s culturally diverse and historically underserved neighborhoods. The nonprofit has had the opportunity to serve thousands of Arizona and Texas residents during this winter season by reducing health disparities, expanding access to care, and accelerating health education.
